This package can only be installed if you have the following CrossWorks license bolt-ons:

- To install this support package

- Click the Tools > Package Manager menu option to open the package manager window.
- Right click on the Atmel AT91RM9200-EK Board Support Package entry and select Install Selected Packages.
- Click Next to take you to the summary page.
- Click Next to install the package.
- Click Finish to close the package manager window.
- Click the Tools > Show Installed Packages.
- Click on the Atmel AT91RM9200-EK Board Support Package link to view the package and its contents.
- To manually install this support package

- If you have not done so already, follow the Atmel AT91SAM9 CPU Support Package and CrossWorks Tasking Library Package installation instructions.
- Download the file Atmel_AT91RM9200_EK.hzq using your web browser.
- Click the Tools > Manually Install Packages menu option.
- Select the file you have just downloaded to install the package.
- Click the Tools > Show Installed Packages.
- Click on the Atmel AT91RM9200-EK Board Support Package link to view the package and its contents.

Creating Atmel AT91RM9200-EK Projects
CrossStudio for ARM supports the Atmel AT91RM9200-EK board with loading and debugging applications into SDRAM, into NOR Flash and into the serial DataFlash on NPCS0.
To create a new Atmel AT91RM9200-EK Evaluation Board project
- Select the File | New | New Project menu item.
- Select AT91RM9200_EK from the Boards category list.
- Select the required project template type from the Project Templates list.
- Set the required project name and location directory.
- Click OK.
To build, load and debug an application running in SDRAM
- Select the project to work on by using the Project | Set Active Project menu option.
- Select the SDRAM placement by clicking on the project node in the project explorer.
- Build the project by using the Build | Build Project menu option.
- Connect to the appropriate target in the target window.
- Download and start debugging the current project by using Debug | Start Debugging.
To load and debug an SDRAM application into the serial DataFlash on NPCS0.
- Connect to the appropriate target in the target window.
- Right click on the project node in the project explorer and select Program DataFlash (NPCS0).
- Start debugging by using Debug | Reset and Debug.
To build, load and debug an application running in NOR Flash
- Select the project to work on by using the Project | Set Active Project menu option.
- Select the FLASH placement by clicking on the project node in the project explorer.
- Build the project by using the Build | Build Project menu option.
- Connect to the appropriate target in the target window.
- Download and start debugging the current project by using Debug | Start Debugging.
Atmel AT91RM9200-EK Project Specifics
Target Reset Script
The reset script for AT91RM9200_EK_Target.js supplies the function to set up the clocks, SDRAM and NOR flash for download and debugging.
Flash Loaders
The loaders
solution has projects to build the flash loader for the external NOR Flash of AT91RM9200-EK and the flash loader and secondary boot loader for the serial DataFlash on NPCS0.Board Specific Files
The file AT91RM9200_EK.c sets up the CTL timer and provides a led and button pressed function. For a FLASH placement build this file includes sdram_pll.c which sets up the clocks, SDRAM and NOR flash.
